Pray this Lazaroo with growing understanding:

“…they…prostituted themselves to other gods…”
(Judges 2:17)

You hate idol worship, don’t You, Jesus?

It’s not theoretical.
It’s not legalistic.
It’s Personal.

To You, it’s like it would be for a husband

who discovered his wife was moonlighting as a prostitute
while he was at work.

That helps me understand a little better

why You command us to smash idols

why, after giving us chance after chance to repent

You’re finally forced to punish the very ones You love.

Pray this Lazaroo in renewed devotion:

“Instead, he went out and began to talk freely…”
(Mark 1:45)

You healed this man, Jesus –

strongly warning him to tell no one
knowing it would increase the Jews animosity.

But he couldn’t shut up!

He was too astonished and thrilled to keep quiet.

Interesting.

When You save us You strongly urge us
to tell everyone about You.

But when You provide me an opening to do so

how much of the time am I too timid to take it?
