“If the ministry that brought condemnation was glorious, how much more glorious is the ministry that brings righteousness! For what was glorious has no glory now in comparison with the surpassing glory. And if what was transitory came with glory, how much greater is the glory of that which lasts!

What a terrifying place to be in, Jesus!

…for those who are spiritually aware.

Of course, if I’m spiritually aware, I won’t land in such a place.

It’s only when I’m deaf, blind and dumb to spiritual reality

that I repeatedly make the kinds of decisions
that destine me for condemnation.

O God, my Redeemer and Protector:

May I ever remain

Pray this Lazaroo in fervency of spirit

“Hear this word the LORD has spoken against you…”
(Amos 3:1)

There are a lot of words I don’t want to hear, Jesus

“I hate you”
“You’ve lost”
“You’re fired”
“It’s terminal”

but any word You would ever speak against me

is at the very top of that list.

I’d rather hear every curse ever uttered

than hear one word of condemnation from You.

What are the words I long to hear when I stand before You?
