Pray this Lazaroo with burning emotion:

“The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, it says, ‘The person who does these things will live by them.’”
(Galatians 3:12)

If I was counting on my obedience to Your law to save me, Jesus

I’d be doomed to hell.

To say I fall short is not only to state the obvious.
It’s the understatement of the century.

It’s not because I don’t care.

I try with all my might to please You…

and then I don’t.

Thank You from the bottom of my heart

for Your gift of faith!

You reward everyone who serves You, Jesus!

Some earn their living serving You and Your people.
Others serve You and Your people without pay

on this earth.

But oh, the untold treasure they’re laying up in heaven!

where moth and rust do not destroy
and strangers, friends, family and the government

cannot steal.

Contrary to popular opinion, Jesus

love isn’t a feeling.

Feelings are deceptive.

Sometimes I feel good when I should feel bad.
Sometimes I feel bad when I should feel good.

Feelings are about me.

Obedience is about You –

and those around me
who can’t feel what I feel

but who know they’re loved
when they see the evidence.

Feelings come and go.

Love stays.
Because love obeys.
