Hold nothing back, as you pray this Lazaroo:

“The land by the sea will become pastures having wells for shepherds and pens for flocks.”
(Zephaniah 2:6)

This is how You punished Your disobedient nation, Jesus!

Wow.

You could have scorched the land, making it utterly useless for anything.

But You didn’t.
Instead, in the midst of Your disciplining anger

You turned the land they had defiled
into a blessing.

You’ve done that time and again for me!

Even while You’re correcting me
You’re blessing me in ways I would have never expected.

O God!
You Are Awesome!

Take it to heart, as you pray this Lazaroo:

“I also want women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety…”
(1 Timothy 2:9)

Paul had just finished telling the men what he wanted them to do, Jesus –

lifting up holy hands in prayer
without anger or disputing.

Now, he’s asking the women of the church

to dress in a way that glorifies You.

My guess is he’s correcting the shortcomings of each. 😉

Do I need to correct any of this, LORD?

Wholehearted worship
anger
disputing
dressing modestly?

Pray this Lazaroo with locked-in faith:

“When Peter came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he was clearly in the wrong.”
(Galatians 2:11)

Peter wasn’t infallible, Jesus.

Nor was Paul, who opposed him.
Nor is any leader, no matter how wise, respected or famous.

Nor am I.

Sooner or later, we all need to be corrected.

But when it’s my turn to be corrected
may it be by somebody like Paul

who opposed Peter to his face
rather than behind his back.
