Pray this Lazaroo from the depths of your soul:

“The Israelites are stubborn, like a stubborn heifer. How then can the Lord pasture them like lambs in a meadow?”
(Hosea 4:16)

I don’t want to be like that stubborn heifer Jesus –

a young female cow that hasn’t yet borne a calf –

who stops when You say “Go!”
who runs away when You say, “Come!”
who rejects Your chosen path.

Make me as responsive and obedient to You

as the most attentive, compliant, eager-to-please lamb!
