“In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: [who]…made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.”
(Philippians 2:5, 7-8)

Wow, Jesus.

You didn’t have to do that!

In fact, You shouldn’t have.
Not for the likes of me.

But You did!

You lowered Yourself for a person who couldn’t get any lower

because You love me

and want to lift me up higher
than I could ever imagine.

Pray this Lazaroo in deepest respect:

“…Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John. But John tried to deter him, saying, ‘I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?’ Jesus replied, ‘Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness.’ Then John consented.”
(Matthew 3:13-15)

This is absolutely beautiful, Jesus.

For You to lower Yourself, doing what You didn’t have to do
to set a righteous example for me?

That makes me want to choose You
all over again.
