Pray this Lazaroo in repentant devotion:

“Jesus sent him away at once with a strong warning…”
(Mark 1:43)

You’ve given me a few of those, Jesus.

Sometimes through the events of my life.
Sometimes through one of Your people.
Most often directly through Your Word.

The thing is…

I haven’t always heeded them!

O God!
Why?

I know who You are.
I know You love me beyond measure.

I have no excuse.

All I have is a determination to turn it around

while I can.

Could there be anything stronger, Jesus?

Well, yes –
if the God of my fathers came in Person.

But apart from that, wow. What an attention-getter!

depending on who it was who spoke those words, of course.

This time it was Moses – a man imminently to be trusted.

Of course, the Israelites didn’t know that.
