Pray this Lazaroo in passionate gratitude:

“In the hill country of Ephraim they were given Shechem (a city of refuge)…”
(1 Chronicles 6:67)

Those blessed cities of refuge, Jesus!

You provided them so a person who had accidentally killed someone could go to them to escape being killed by the avenger of blood.

Every one of us needs a place of refuge when we’ve done something we didn’t mean to do.

You, LORD!

You Are my place of Refuge

when everyone else
wants to string me up.

Pray this Lazaroo with growing understanding:

“When a leader sins unintentionally…”
(Leviticus 4:22)

And who is more likely to sin, Jesus?

The leader is on point, taking the majority of the risks.
The pressure is greater, the responsibilities magnified.

With all that going on – even with a diligent leader –
mistakes will be made.

Still, the leader has no excuse.

He or she is guilty. Period.
Correction has to be made…if possible, restitution.

Even then, they still lead – showing the way

for their unintentionally sinning followers.
