It’s a spiritual crime, Jesus

to disobey those You’ve placed over me.

That’s a game-changer!

Better think twice, as you pray this Lazaroo:

“…your destruction of animals will terrify you.”
(Habakkuk 2:17)

Seriously, Jesus?

Who cares that much about animals?

You do.

That means I’d be wise to care about them, too.

But a whole lot of people don’t.

They forget:

You’re their Creator!

which makes it a dangerous thing to ignore.

When You create

You’re invested.
You intend to fulfill Your purpose.

It would be a very good idea for me

to discover Your purpose for Your creation
and do my best to honor it.

Pray this Lazaroo all the way to the marrow of your bones:

“In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned…”
(Titus 2:7-8)

That’s a tall order, Jesus!

It’s one thing to teach with integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech

but quite another thing to do all that in a way
that’s impossible to condemn.

There’s always someone out there eager to condemn.

but with Your help and protection

I’ll do my best!

“…when a righteous person turns from their righteousness and does evil, and I put a stumbling block before them, they will die. Since you did not warn them, they will die for their sin. The righteous things that person did will not be remembered, and I will hold you accountable for their blood.”
(Ezekiel 3:20)

I can’t just stand by and watch a good person self-destruct, Jesus.

I’ve got to do my best to get in their face, if necessary

and turn them around.

Paul’s passionate for a reason, Jesus:

You’re the one speaking this truth through him!

I should do my best to live an absolutely holy life.

But no matter how hard I try, I’ll always fall short.

It’s Your grace – the loving price You paid for me on the cross

then rising from the dead –

that is my one, sure hope.

…because I can’t, Jesus!

Oh, I can deal with my enemies

poorly
in a way
inadequately
blindly

but not like You can!

You know which of them I now regard as enemies

will one day become my friends.

You know which of them are acting innocently

and which are acting with evil, malevolent intent.

So I’m going to do my best to obey You

by praying for them

and ask You to handle it.
