Stay focused, as you pray this Lazaroo:

“Have you suffered so much for nothing – if it really was for nothing? Does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you because you observe the law, or because you believe what you heard?”
(Galatians 3:4)

Paul’s getting a little perturbed at them, Jesus.

They’re still trying to work their way to heaven

instead of trusting what You did on the cross
as payment in full for their sins.

Please don’t let me make the same mistake!

It’s SO hard to have somebody walk out on me, Jesus

to have people I love and respect
decide they no longer want to stick around.

It’s almost impossible not to take it personally.

Why wasn’t I enough?
Wasn’t I worth staying for?

But that’s not my deal with You, is it?

Don’t let me miss a single person
You want to place in my life.

And please don’t keep anyone around…

Pray this Lazaroo with dogged determination:

“Keep reminding them of these things.”
(2 Timothy 2:14)

Nobody likes to be harassed, Jesus.

However, everybody appreciates a reminder
of something important to them

that they are about to forget.

But what about those things that are far more important

to You, to Your kingdom and to us
than we realize?

Those are the reminders I may not appreciate

but most urgently require.

Don’t let me ignore them, LORD!

Please make me sensitive to even Your softest whisper!

Everything.

That’s a lot to be obedient in, Jesus! 😉

I believe I’m obedient in most things…

but I get it –

that’s not the goal.
That’s not good enough.
That’s not what You want.
That’s not what You deserve.

Don’t let me cave in to the temptation to compare myself to others

pointing out where I’m strong and they’re weak
while ignoring where they’re strong

and I’m weak.
