Pray this Lazaroo in reverent awe:

“…God has revealed it to us by his Spirit.”
(1 Corinthians 2:10)

There are awesome things You want me to know, Jesus –

that can’t be heard
that can’t be shown
that can’t be felt
that can’t be tasted
that no fragrance can waft through the air.

My five senses are limited during my sojourn on earth.

These are the things so deep and profound, Holy Spirit
that You have to supernaturally place them
directly into my heart.

Pray this Lazaroo with over-the-top trust:

“…they are senseless…”
(Romans 1:31)

Deeply troubling, Jesus…

because I’m thinking of two kinds of “sense.”

The first is earth’s five senses:

sight, hearing, smelling, tasting, touching.

The second is what is called “good sense” –

which is pretty close to wisdom

especially Biblical wisdom
the kind that comes from heaven.

Those consumed solely by their five senses

are blind, deaf, anosmic, ageusic, neuropathic
to things of the spirit

making them – in the worst possible way –

“senseless.”
