Sell out totally to God as you pray this Lazaroo:

“…spoken against him.”
(Jude 1:15)

My tongue is a hard thing to control, Jesus.

Just about the time I think I’ve learned how
I learn the hard way that I haven’t.

I would never intentionally speak against You!

Never!
Never!
Never!

But when I complain

that’s exactly what I’m doing.

Nothing occurs unless You make it happen or allow it.

You’re in charge. You own it all.
And You’re no absentee landlord.

No matter what!

Please help me remember.

Let God blow your mind, as you pray this Lazaroo:

“…those who pass by…”
(Micah 2:8)

As improbable as it sounds to a mere human, Jesus

no one simply passes by me.

You orchestrate every one.

I can’t fathom that

because to them and me

we’re walking, driving, riding, flying
wherever we please.

Nope.

It’s wherever You please.

I can disbelieve it, reason against it, attempt to refute it.

Or I can worship Your incomprehensible greatness
in stunned awareness that this is Your world
which You run however You please.

Pray this Lazaroo with burning emotion:

“…the foundations of the earth are the LORD’s…”
(1 Samuel 2:8)

Yes, they are, Jesus.

What hope, gratitude and confidence that gives me!

When my heart is broken by what I see all around me
When I’m baffled by some unexpected turn of events
When I’m stunned by the cruelty of the ruthless

all I have to remember is:

Everything that happens rests on You.

You made it, set it in motion and control it.

You’ve got this.
