Pray this Lazaroo with utter abandon:

“May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.”
(2 Thessalonians 2:16-17)

I want all my words to be good, Jesus

not just some of them.

But my only hope to achieve that lofty goal

is to stay constantly in tune with You, Holy Spirit!

May every word I speak be fulfilled

because it originates with You!

We have our records, Jesus

and You have Yours.

You record every good thought, word and action.

We have nothing close to that.

But some of the things recorded in our books are missing from Yours:

Every sinful thought, word or action I’ve committed

is gone, gone, gone, gone, GONE!

Paid in full by Your blood shed on the cross for me

eradicated from my relationship with You

forever.
