“Give careful thought: Is there yet any seed left in the barn?”

Great question, Jesus!

Way too often, we ignore the reason for our circumstances.

We act like stuff happens randomly, on its own.

But it doesn’t!

You’re the One who monitors every bird that falls

and numbers the hairs on my head.

If things are going great for me – You’re the One making it happen!

Ditto, if I’m in hot water:

You’re the One turning up the heat.

Pray this Lazaroo to the God who provides everything you need:

“…why go to Assyria to drink water from the River?”
(Jeremiah 2:18)

Great question, Jesus.

By turning to other gods, Your people broke Your heart.
How dare they turn to lifeless idols?

My guess is You’re asking the same question of me every time I sin

buying one of Satan’s lies.
How dare I drink from his foul, poisonous cesspool?

You are my Living Water.

So long as I drink deeply, daily from Your Spring
I will never thirst.
