Pray this Lazaroo with pedal-to-the-metal commitment:

“I always thank my God as I remember you in my prayers, because I hear about your love…”
(Philemon 1:4-5)

When I pray for people

there are a lot of things I can thank You for, Jesus.

I could thank You for protecting them.
I could thank You for healing them.
I could thank You for their good deeds.
I could even thank You for their faith.

But Paul was thankful for their love

because the greatest of all

is love.

Pray this Lazaroo with undiluted sincerity:

“Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, ‘children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.’”
(Philippians 2:14-15)

There’s a payoff for doing life Your way, Jesus!

There’s always a payoff.
A very good payoff.

It seldom happens when or how or where I imagined it would

but when it does, I’m blown away.

Still the greatest payoff of all for doing things Your way

is the certain knowledge that I’m putting a smile on Your face.

Pray this Lazaroo in total trust:

“Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need.”
(Acts 2:43-45)

Were these the greatest days of Your Church, Jesus?

Was this the purest expression of what You had in mind
when You laid down Your life for us?

You’re the Same – yesterday, today and forever.

Great God:

Do it again!

Take stock, as you pray this Lazaroo:

“They declared a fast, and all of them, from the greatest to the least, put on sackcloth.”
(Jonah 3:5)

The people of the great city of Ninevah did this, Jesus

in response to Your warning through the prophet Jonah.

Through him, You told them their city would be overturned in 40 days.

Just wondering…

If You sent a prophet with a similar warning to my city

would anyone fast?
would anyone remove their fine clothing

and start wearing sackcloth?

Pray this Lazaroo with undying love:

“Is Israel a servant, a slave by birth?”
(Jeremiah 2:14)

Well…yes and no, Jesus.

Certainly, Your people are called to serve You
urged to serve one another.

But not in this sense.

You’re reminding us that we’re royalty
destined to rule and reign with You!

Of course, those of us who regard ourselves as Your slaves

waiting on You hand and foot
sensitive to Your every whim

are the ones in heaven
who will be the greatest of all.
