Pray this Lazaroo with bulldog faith:

“…the exiles from Jerusalem…”
(Obadiah 1:20)

Exiles come from a lot of places, Jesus…

but none more holy than Jerusalem.

To not be permitted to return to this blessed land

had to leave an incurable ache in the heart of each exile.

Some of us who can’t go there aren’t exiles.

We just don’t have the money to afford the trip.

Others of us long to go

and are simply trusting You to provide the way

in Your time.

Sell out totally to God as you pray this Lazaroo:

“…in my heart I am disturbed.”
(Lamentations 1:20)

It’s bad enough when something upsets my thinking, Jesus

but when the disturbance settles in my heart

I’ve got to address it
can’t put it off.

It affects everything I think, say and do

the expressions on my face.

You’re the One who disturbs the heart, aren’t You?

You create that inner disturbance

to get my attention about something You want me to do

or what You want me to stop.

Pray this Lazaroo with no-holds-barred surrender:

“…if anyone competes as an athlete, he does not receive the victor’s crown unless he competes according to the rules.”
(2 Timothy 2:5)

You’re telling me the same thing applies to me, aren’t You, Jesus?

If I want to win Heaven’s crown, Your one rule is pretty simple:

Believe in You.

Of course, if I truly believe in You,

I’ll love and obey You with all my heart, soul, mind and strength
and love my neighbor as myself.

Pray this Lazaroo from the depths of your being:

“James, Peter and John, those esteemed as pillars…”
(Galatians 2:9)

I’d say so, Jesus!

James, your half-brother

author of the New Testament book that bears his name

Peter, one of Your twelve apostles

author of two New Testament books that bear his name

John, the beloved apostle

author of four New Testament books that bear his name

I’m no pillar in Your Church, Jesus

but I long to follow You as they did
with all my heart, soul, mind and strength.

Pray this Lazaroo overwhelmed with gratitude:

“…not see the first rays of dawn.”
(Job 3:9)

Some people never see the first rays of dawn, Jesus.

They’re fast asleep.

Others could if they wanted to

but they’re busy inside.

Still others can’t see the sun’s first rays or anything else

because they’re blind.

Those first rays are precious, Jesus!

May I never take them for granted.

They signify that You’ve granted me one more day

to serve You with all my heart, soul, mind and strength.
