Yes, You did, Jesus –

because You love us.
You created us in Your Image.

And because we sinned against You – every last one of us!

You came to this earth to pay for our sins with Your own Life

so we could live with You forever.

“So man will be brought low and mankind humbled…”
(Isaiah 2:9)

Kinda good for me to keep that in mind, Jesus.

When You generously gift me
then bless me on top of that

I can begin to take if for granted
forget from Whom my blessings flow
get full of myself

…which forces You to back off on Your blessings

until I get my nose out of the air
my head screwed back on straight
and my heart right.
