Pray this Lazaroo in transparent desperation:

”…the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and to hold the unrighteous for punishment on the day of judgment. This is especially true of those who follow the corrupt desire of the flesh…”
(2 Peter 2:9-10)

My flesh has some corrupt desires, Jesus –

to which I’ve given in
far too often.

But that’s not who I want to be!

In Your power, Holy Spirit
that’s not who I will be!

Rescue me from these trials and temptations, Father!

You’re my only Hope.

What a frightening sight and sound that had to be, Jesus!

You on the attack.
Dear God.

At such times

may I always be behind You as a soldier in Your army
never in the hapless crowd facing You…Your army…

and certain defeat.

Whenever You gather Your troops to engage in a righteous war

call on me.

Pray this Lazaroo with sold-out surrender:

“…a chasing after the wind.”
(Ecclesiastes 2:17)

What a perfect picture of futility You’ve given me, Jesus.

Show me everywhere in my life I’m doing this.

Help me stop!

Did I say, “my” life?

God help me.

It’s not mine.
It’s Yours.

Forgetting that is what sets me off
on another wind-chasing waste of time.

Chasing after the wind is NOT going after something too big.

In Your power, there’s no such thing.

It’s failing to check with You first.

Draw upon God’s strength, as you pray this Lazaroo:

“They plunge through defenses without breaking ranks.”
(Joel 2:8)

Such was this supernatural, punishing plague of locusts, Jesus.

For them to plunge through all defenses was terrifying enough.
But to do so without confusion or loss?

They were simply mowing down everything in their path.

May no such enemy ever be unleashed on me!

or on those I love.

But it makes me wonder:

If evil can do that
why don’t we – in Your strength –

do that to Satan?
