Pray this Lazaroo with confidence:

“…the Lord is faithful…”
(2 Thessalonians 3:3)

I love this about You, Jesus!

No one is as faithful as You.

We make promises to one another with every intent to keep them.

But when circumstances change
our promises can fly out the window.

No so with You!

You’re All-Powerful.
You control all circumstances.

Because You see the future
nothing takes You by surprise.

The moment You make a promise

You know when, how and where You will keep it.

Pray this Lazaroo with holy caution:

“…Joab went to the king and said, ‘What have you done? Look, Abner came to you. Why did you let him go? Now he is gone! You know Abner son of Ner; he came to deceive you and observe your movements and find out everything you are doing.”
(2 Samuel 3:24-25)

That wasn’t what Joab feared, Jesus.

He was afraid Abner would replace him.

How many times do the people around me disguise their true intent?

Only You know.

Great God!

Protect me!

Pray this Lazaroo in confidence and respect:

“…for ages past was kept hidden in God, who created all things. His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, according to his eternal purpose that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
(Ephesians 3:9-11)

You’ve got a plan, Jesus.

It’s a beautiful, perfect, awesome plan.

And nothing in this world or the next has the power to thwart it!

Pray this Lazaroo with unswerving holy intent:

“Deliverers will go up on Mount Zion to govern the mountains of Esau…”
(Obadiah 1:21)

You gave the entire promised land to the descendants of Jacob, Jesus

even though Esau was the firstborn
the one traditionally in line to receive the inheritance.

But Esau had no heart for You

didn’t value what You value.

So he lost his chance

leaving the descendants of his younger brother
to rule over the whole land.

O God!

May what I value
perfectly align with You.

Pray this Lazaroo with passionate intent:

“All night long on my bed I looked for the one my heart loves; I looked for him but did not find him. I will get up now and go about the city, through its streets and squares; I will search for the one my heart loves.”
(Song of Songs 3:1-2)

If she wanted to find him, Jesus

she had to get out of bed!

When something truly matters

help me hop up and beat the bushes
until You lead me to it!

Pray this Lazaroo with Holy Spirit sensitivity:

“Whose young woman is that?”
(Ruth 2:5)

It would be hard to ask a more politically incorrect question, Jesus.

Thankfully, we don’t talk that way anymore.

But there’s a lesson here, isn’t there?

For the time in which he lived, Boaz wasn’t speaking disrespectfully.
Just the opposite – he greatly respected Ruth!

How many times have I unfairly judged someone’s words or actions

without knowledge of their background, culture or intent?

Forgive me, LORD!
Only You know the heart.
