Pray this Lazaroo with over-the-top trust:
“…you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood…”
(1 Peter 2:5)
When I see this, Jesus, my first thought is
“Naw…me? A priest? No way!
But then I realize You’re the one saying it
which makes it absolutely true.
Still, I have to confess:
Not only do I not feel like a priest
but there are plenty of days when I know for a fact
I’m not anything close to holy.
Even so, I love the way You worded it:
“…are being built…”
which means it’s a process
in which I have a long, long way to go!
