This is stunning news, Jesus!

For eons, the Jews alone were Your chosen people.

But now, everyone who trusts in You

through Your death, burial and resurrection

belongs to You!

“It is a sin offering.”
(Leviticus 4:24)

The goat had to die, Jesus

because of the leader’s sin.

You no longer give us that command.

Your death on the cross
pays for our sins in full.

Your resurrection

proves You have the power and authority
to forgive every sin.

But how many of Your people have ended up scapegoats

for their leader’s sin?

O God!

Give us leaders after Your own heart
full of compassion for Your people.
