Acknowledge your need of Him, as you pray this Lazaroo!

“…two prostitutes came to the king…One of them said…‘During the night this woman’s son died because she lay on him. So she…took my son from my side while I…was asleep. She put him by her breast and put her dead son by my breast.’ The other woman said, ‘No! The living one is my son; the dead one is yours.’”
(1 Kings 3:16, 19-20, 22)

No witnesses, Jesus.

How could Solomon possibly render a just verdict?

The same way I make wise decisions:

Only You.

Pray this Lazaroo in deepest gratitude:

“Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.”
(John 3:14-15)

Anyone bitten by those venomous snakes in the wilderness, Jesus

had only to look at the bronze snake on Moses’ pole

and they lived.

They lived because they believed what You told them

just as I will live because I believe what You’ve told me.

Pray this Lazaroo with over-the-top trust:

“But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told. On the eighth day, when it was time to circumcise the child, he was named Jesus, the name the angel had given him before he was conceived.”
(Luke 2:19-21)

Help me treasure up everything You’re doing in my life, Jesus

and ponder them in my heart

to discern Your perfect will for my life!

Hold nothing back, as you pray this Lazaroo:

“Shallum…and his fellow gatekeepers…were responsible for guarding the thresholds of the tent just as their ancestors had been responsible for guarding the entrance to the dwelling of the Lord. In earlier times Phinehas…was the official in charge of the gatekeepers, and the Lord was with him. Zechariah…was the gatekeeper at the entrance to the tent of meeting.”
(1 Chronicles 9:19-21)

You place a high priority on guarding the entrances to Your dwellings, Jesus!

May I do the same –

never allowing anyone or anything to enter my life
that would compromise my relationship with You!

Pray this Lazaroo in zealous love:

“Someone might argue, ‘If my falsehood enhances God’s truthfulness and so increases his glory, why am I still condemned as a sinner?’ Why not say—as some slanderously claim that we say—’Let us do evil that good may result’? Their condemnation is just!”
(Romans 3:7-8)

Through Paul, You brilliantly dismantle this attack on Your gift of grace, Jesus!

Anyone who knows You
knows You would never condone willful sin!

Help me take my stand for truth

and against all who would pervert it!

Pray this Lazaroo in ardent love:

“…it is written: ‘So that you may be proved right when you speak and prevail when you judge.’ But if our unrighteousness brings out God’s righteousness more clearly, what shall we say? That God is unjust in bringing his wrath on us? (I am using a human argument.) Certainly not! If that were so, how could God judge the world?”
(Romans 3:4-6)

You are Perfect, Righteous and Just, Jesus.

In our flawed, unrighteous, injustice

how dare we impugn Your judgments?

Pray this Lazaroo in humble trust:

“I will harden his heart so that he will not let the people go. Then say to Pharaoh, ‘This is what the Lord says: Israel is my firstborn son, and I told you, “Let my son go, so he may worship me.” But you refused to let him go; so I will kill your firstborn son.’”
(Exodus 4:21-23)

To us, this seems unjust, Jesus

But no!
You are Just!

This side of heaven, we don’t have the ability to grasp

the mind-bogglingly vast number of factors
that inform Your righteous actions.
