Pray this Lazaroo in fervency of spirit:

“These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God’s creation. I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.”
(Revelation 3:14-16)

In the day-to-day struggle, Jesus

it’s so easy to lose my passion.

No, I don’t forsake You. I never stop believing. My love doesn’t grow cold.

But if it’s not burning hot
that has to change.

Now.

Pray this Lazaroo in humble adulation:

“Since you have asked for this and not for long life or wealth for yourself, nor have asked for the death of your enemies but for discernment in administering justice…I will give you a wise and discerning heart, so that there will never have been anyone like you, nor will there ever be.”
(1 Kings 3:10-12)

You had already given Solomon enough wisdom to ask for the right thing, Jesus.

He had just enough
to know he needed more.

That’s about how much wisdom I have.

I know for a fact:
I need more!

Pray this Lazaroo with explosive feeling:

“…when David heard about this, he said, ‘I and my kingdom are forever innocent before the Lord concerning the blood of Abner son of Ner. May his blood fall on the head of Joab…”
(2 Samuel 3:28-29)

The thing is, Jesus

Your Name is EL DEAH.

You know.

Joab was, indeed, guilty.

The day came

when he paid with his life.

May I never forget Your Name, EL DEAH!

not only to waste no time lying to You

but also to rest assured that when I’m mistreated

You know.

Pray this Lazaroo with earnest desire:

“’Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit.’ ‘The poison of vipers is on their lips.’ ‘Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.’ ‘Their feet are swift to shed blood; ruin and misery mark their ways, and the way of peace they do not know.’ ‘There is no fear of God before their eyes.’”
(Romans 3:13-18)

That’s what You see when You look at this world, Jesus.

It has to break Your heart!

May that never be what You see

when You look at me.

Pray this Lazaroo with excuseless humility:

“The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this temple; his hands will also complete it. Then you will know that the Lord Almighty has sent me to you. Who dares despise the day of small things, since the seven eyes of the Lord that range throughout the earth will rejoice when they see the chosen capstone in the hand of Zerubbabel?”
(Zechariah 4:9-10)

Open my eyes, Jesus!

When You do it
I don’t want to miss it!

Hold nothing back, as you pray this Lazaroo:

“Everyone will sit under their own vine and under their own fig tree, and no one will make them afraid, for the Lord Almighty has spoken. All the nations may walk in the name of their gods, but we will walk in the name of the Lord our God for ever and ever.”
(Micah 4:4-5)

Hasten the day, Jesus!

I believe You.
I know in my heart this day will come.

So I’ll do my part to bring it about:

I will walk in Your Name, LORD God
for ever and ever!

Pray this Lazaroo with full confidence in God:

“If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.”
(Daniel 3:17-18)

I know You can do it, Jesus.

I just don’t know if You will do it!

But this much I know:

You’ll do what’s best.

And I’ll trust You no matter which.

Pray this Lazaroo with bottomless trust:

“Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human authority…”
(1 Peter 2:13)

That’s a tall order, Jesus.

So many human authorities are corrupt.
Even more are completely in the wrong.

But You’ve commanded me to do it for Your sake.

I will.
For that reason only.

But this I know:

If human authorities require me to disobey You
You will be the first to tell me to disobey them

no matter what it costs
because I belong to You.

Pray this Lazaroo with no-holds-barred surrender:

“Meanwhile, the people in Judah said, ‘The strength of the laborers is giving out, and there is so much rubble that we cannot rebuild the wall.’ Also our enemies said, ‘Before they know it or see us, we will be right there among them and will kill them and put an end to the work.’”
(Nehemiah 4:10-11)

Lies, Jesus. All lies.

That’s who Satan is:

a liar.

May I never allow the false words of my friends or enemies

to hinder my service to You!
