Set your goals, as you pray this Lazaroo:

“I will raise up for myself a faithful priest, who will do according to what is in my heart and mind. I will firmly establish his priestly house, and they will minister before my anointed one always. Then everyone left in your family line will come and bow down before him…”
(1 Samuel 2:35-36)

You’re big on faithfulness, Jesus.
You greatly value obedience, too.

You reward those who are faithful and obedient

and punish those who aren’t.

Pray this Lazaroo from the depths of your being:

“The voices of your messengers will no longer be heard.”
(Nahum 2:13)

You sent Jonah to warn Ninevah of their impending doom, Jesus.

But when they repented
You relented!

Not this time.

Not long after You granted them a stay of execution
they went right back to their detestable sins.

They stopped sinning to avoid punishment
not because they hated and rejected what they had done.

Nahum was the last prophet You sent to them.

O God!
May I never cross that line!

“In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David.”
(Luke 2:1,4)

Did Joseph know that He was fulfilling Scripture, Jesus?

Whether or not he knew
that’s exactly what he was doing.
