Pray this Lazaroo with burning emotion:

“Now the glory of the God of Israel went up from above the cherubim, where it had been, and moved to the threshold of the temple. Then the Lord called…‘Go throughout the city of Jerusalem and put a mark on the foreheads of those who grieve and lament over all the detestable things that are done in it.’”
(Ezekiel 9:3-4)

Place that mark on my forehead, Jesus!

I’m brokenhearted about what is happening in my country
and around the world.

Because I’m faithful to Your Word

may many others receive that mark.

Pray this Lazaroo with earnest desire:

“’Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit.’ ‘The poison of vipers is on their lips.’ ‘Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.’ ‘Their feet are swift to shed blood; ruin and misery mark their ways, and the way of peace they do not know.’ ‘There is no fear of God before their eyes.’”
(Romans 3:13-18)

That’s what You see when You look at this world, Jesus.

It has to break Your heart!

May that never be what You see

when You look at me.

Pray this Lazaroo with no-holds-barred surrender:

In the second year of King Darius, on the first day of the sixth month, the word of the Lord came through the prophet Haggai…”
(Haggai 1:1)

It’s not every day that You speak out loud to someone on earth, Jesus.

If You spoke like that to me
I’d mark the date too.

I’d probably make a note of the time, as well.

How often I’ve wished You would tell me exactly what You want me to do!

Though I don’t in any way, shape or form deserve it,
I know You can.

But there’s a reason You don’t.

Probably many reasons.

One of which is You’re waiting on me

to pay attention to what You’ve already spoken to me

through Your Word.

Pray this Lazaroo with self-evaluation:

“Epaphras, my fellow prisoner in Christ Jesus, sends you greetings. And so do Mark, Aristarchus, Demas and Luke…”
(Philemon 1:23-24)

Everybody wanted in on the greetings, Jesus.

And no wonder!

Philemon was a wealthy leader in Your early Church
deeply respected by the other believers.

I can’t help but wonder, though…

would they have been as eager to greet a poor nobody?

Would I?

Wealthy leaders receive many greetings.

But warm words mean a whole lot more
to poor nobodies.
