I guess that’s something You told Solomon, Jesus

because that statement appears nowhere else in the Bible.

But I’m so thankful to hear it –

through every hard, torturous, dark cloud day I’m called to endure.

You’ve promised never to leave me nor forsake me.

That means so much on my good days
but it means a thousand times more on the bad.

Our modern sensibilities can’t fathom this, Jesus –

the ruthless extermination of a whole nation of people.

But You – the God of love, forgiveness and mercy – ordered it!

That’s all I need to know, Jesus.

But I belong to You – with every fiber of my being.

That means You take their actions against me Personally.

Your Word is that foundation, Jesus

not because it’s in writing
not because it’s the Bible
but because it’s You.

You Are The Word.

That’s
Solid.

But what means the world to me is knowing I belong to You!

You know me.
You chose me.
You saved me.
I’m Yours.

Not merely for my time on this earth
but through all eternity!
