Pray this Lazaroo with unshakable belief:

“I will send my messenger, who will prepare the way before me. Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to his temple; the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, will come,” says the Lord Almighty.”
(Malachi 3:1)

All those years, decades, centuries and millennia of waiting, Jesus

and then suddenly!
it happened.

May I never become impatient with Your timing.

I know.

Easier prayer to pray
than in faith to obey.

But this I also know:

You always do what’s best.

Pray this Lazaroo in humble gratitude.

“I will send my messenger, who will prepare the way before me. Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to his temple…”
(Malachi 3:1)

You told us the name of that messenger, Jesus:

John the Baptist.

You Yourself are the Lord they were seeking who came to Your temple.

Though You came to Your own
they didn’t believe in You.

But there were some who believed in You.

To this day, all who do
have become Yours –

heart, mind, body and soul.

in your cousin John the Baptist.

Your Way. Your Time.

Always perfect.

My way. My time.

Usually flawed!

May I always remember how much You know

and how little I know

how much You see
how little I see.

So when You do it differently than I would

on a different schedule

Help me trust You

completely.

You’re the one who gives the message.

The preacher is the one who delivers it.

Many a great message

has been diminished by a poor preacher.

But Your Word is so powerful and compelling

that even the worst of preachers

if they manage to quote from the Bible

can watch in awe

as You totally transform their hearer’s lives.

…and what an awesome responsibility.

To be one whose job it is to share Your truth with others

is a glorious, fearsome calling.

Once that was the task You assigned to Your priests, Your prophets

but today…on this side of the cross…

no longer just them.

That glad pleasure…that terrifying mission…

has been given to every one
of those who by faith follow You
