Pray this Lazaroo in humble acknowledgment:

“Say to the Israelites, ‘The Lord, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you.’”
(Exodus 3:15)

That’s quite an introduction, Jesus.

But it wasn’t enough.
You knew it wouldn’t be.

It took You working miracle after miracle

before the Israelites believed
and Pharaoh agreed to let Your people go.

When faith is absent

words are never enough.

Not then
and not now.

Pray this Lazaroo with undiluted sincerity:

“…to present you holy in his sight…”
(Colossians 1:22)

We’re talking about a miracle, Jesus.

I don’t see how I could look holy in anyone’s sight
especially Yours.

But if that’s Your goal, it has to be mine.

Except I can’t.

I don’t mean I refuse.

I mean that no matter how hard I try
I fall short.

If I’m ever to appear holy in Your Father’s sight

it will have to be because He sees You
in me.

Pray this Lazaroo with pure devotion:

“…the baby in my womb leaped for joy.”
(Luke 1:44)

I know late-term babies sometimes leap when they’re startled, Jesus…

but infant John the Baptist leaped for joy
when he heard Your mother’s voice?

Yes.

That’s exactly what happened.
I believe it to the bone.

By normal reckoning, neither of You should have been in any mother’s womb.

But by the miracle-working power of Your Father
according to His plan

You were.

I love it when miracles are afoot!

Fully open your heart, as you pray this Lazaroo:

“But now he has reconciled you…”
(Colossians 1:22)

I see those words, Jesus

but I don’t understand them.

You’re perfect, sinless, pure, holy.

I’m the exact opposite.

How can the North and South poles be joined together?
How can east and west meet?

A miracle.
We’re talking a miracle.

But as impossible as my reconciliation to You seems

the fact that You would even want
to be reconciled to the likes of me

is the greatest miracle of all.

Pray this Lazaroo with white-hot purpose:

“Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men…”
(Jude 1:14)

That’s nothing short of amazing, Jesus.

I take that back.

For Enoch to precisely foretell what a group of people were going to be, say and do 3,000 years before they walked this earth

is an absolute miracle.

Of course, that should be no surprise.

Enoch was the one you took to heaven
without requiring him to die first.

Teach me to walk with You

as he did.

Pray this Lazaroo with eyes wide open:

“The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders…”
(2 Thessalonians 2:9)

What a great heads up, Jesus.

Just because something looks like a miracle
doesn’t mean it is.

If I see something so amazing that it fills me with wonder
I need to “wonder”…exactly where it leads.

When I’ve supposedly been given a sign
I’d better make double-dog sure it’s from You.

Pray this Lazaroo with unshakable belief:

“Jesus sent him away at once…”
(Mark 1:43)

Wow, Jesus…

I wonder how that made him feel.

He no sooner shows up and begs You to cure his leprosy

than You heal him and send him away.

But hey – if the one who can heal me orders me to take off

I’d best get going!

If You love me enough to do for me what nobody else can

the least I can do is love you enough to obey.
