Pray this Lazaroo with white-hot fervor:

“…Esther sent this reply to Mordecai: “Go, gather together all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my attendants will fast as you do. When this is done, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish.’”
(Esther 4:15-16)

Great God!

Give me the courage of Esther!

In Jesus’ Name.

Pray this Lazaroo with laser-focused intensity:

“If you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”
(Esther 4:14)

Esther’s cousin Mordecai spoke words that resound through the ages, Jesus!

I dare not shirk my duty to speak up for You!

You have placed me on earth in this place, at this time to fulfill Your purpose.

With Your help, Holy Spirit

I’ll do it!

Pray this Lazaroo all the way to the marrow of your bones:

“Mordecai told him…the exact amount of money Haman had promised to pay into the royal treasury for the destruction of the Jews. He also gave him a copy of the text of the edict for their annihilation, which had been published in Susa, to show to Esther…and… instruct her to go into the king’s presence to beg for mercy.”
(Esther 4:7-8)

When Satan attacks, Jesus

give me the wisdom and clarity of mind

to know exactly what to do

to defeat him and win the victory!

Pray this Lazaroo with pure devotion:

“When Esther’s eunuchs and female attendants…told her about Mordecai, she was in great distress. She sent clothes for him to put on instead of his sackcloth, but he would not accept them. Then Esther summoned…one of the king’s eunuchs…and ordered him to find out what was troubling Mordecai and why.”
(Esther 4:4-5)

Help me not to judge the actions of others, Jesus.

I don’t know what they’re going through!

May I show them the same compassion I want to be shown

when my actions are offensive to others.

Pray this Lazaroo with no-holds-barred surrender:

“…Mordecai…tore his clothes, put on sackcloth and ashes, and went out into the city, wailing loudly and bitterly. But he went only as far as the king’s gate, because no one clothed in sackcloth was allowed to enter it.”
(Esther 4:1-2)

The king didn’t want to see anybody who was sad, Jesus.

He wanted everything to appear happy.

Thank You for being the King of kings

who invites me to come close to You
when my heart is breaking.

Pray this Lazaroo with white-hot fervor:

“When Mordecai learned of all that had been done, he tore his clothes, put on sackcloth and ashes, and went out into the city, wailing loudly and bitterly.”
(Esther 4:1)

Mordecai felt exactly the way most of us would feel, Jesus

when confronted with horrific, disastrously unacceptable news.

He was right.

The threatened annihilation of all the Jews was catastrophic.

But He was also wrong.

Because You were about to turn this unthinkable situation
into stunning victory.

Help me remember that

next time I’m tempted to lose it over bad news.

Pray this Lazaroo with eyes-opened awareness:

“When Haman saw that Mordecai would not kneel down or pay him honor, he was enraged. Yet having learned who Mordecai’s people were, he scorned the idea of killing only Mordecai. Instead, Haman looked for a way to destroy all Mordecai’s people, the Jews, throughout the whole kingdom of Xerxes.”
(Esther 3:5-6)

We’d like to think, “Surely people that evil don’t exist!” Jesus.

But sadly, yes, they do.

O God!

I look to You as my only – and 100% effective –

Supernatural Defense.

Pray this Lazaroo all the way to the marrow of your bones:

“Day after day they spoke to him but he refused to comply. Therefore they told Haman about it to see whether Mordecai’s behavior would be tolerated, for he had told them he was a Jew.”
(Esther 3:4)

When the laws of the land conflict with Your Word, Jesus

it’s no contest.

Traditions, customs, police, judges, mayors, governors presidents all lose.

You win.

The only reason I have to pray about it

is to learn from You the wisest way to proceed.

Pray this Lazaroo with holy boldness:

“Then the royal officials at the king’s gate asked Mordecai, ‘Why do you disobey the king’s command?’”
(Esther 3:3)

The answer was simple, Jesus:

Haman was a wicked man who did not deserve to be honored.

But that wasn’t even the biggest reason.

Mordecai wasn’t about to bow down to anyone but You.
The fact that it was the king who ordered it was irrelevant

even though it might cost Mordecai his life.

May that kind of holy courage be mine!

Pray this Lazaroo in continuing awe:

“All the royal officials at the king’s gate knelt down and paid honor to Haman, for the king had commanded this concerning him. But Mordecai would not kneel down or pay him honor.”
(Esther 3:2)

You don’t tell us why Mordecai wouldn’t bow down to Haman, Jesus.

Maybe it was because He refused to bow down to anyone but You.
Maybe it was because He sensed Haman was an evil man.

Regardless, You used it!

…as You do absolutely everything that happens.
