Pray this Lazaroo in fervency of spirit:

“What can I do with you, Ephraim? What can I do with you, Judah? Your love is like the morning mist, like the early dew that disappears. Therefore I cut you in pieces with my prophets, I killed you with the words of my mouth—then my judgments go forth like the sun.”
(Hosea 6:4-5)

I’ve been loved with that same disappearing love Jesus.

It’s awful.

Love never fails.
Their love was a lie from the beginning.

No wonder You respond to its duplicity

with warning words
followed by blazing judgment.

Pray this Lazaroo in humble adulation:

“…the four principal gatekeepers, who were Levites, were entrusted with the responsibility for the rooms and treasuries in the house of God. They would spend the night stationed around the house of God, because they had to guard it; and they had charge of the key for opening it each morning.”
(1 Chronicles 9:26-27)

May I always guard the place where Your people meet, Jesus!

It may be constructed of wood, brick, canvas, bamboo or stone

but it’s sacred!

Pray this Lazaroo with lavish love:

“…a tenth of an ephah of the finest flour as a regular grain offering, half of it in the morning and half in the evening. It must be prepared with oil on a griddle; bring it well-mixed and present the grain offering broken in pieces as an aroma pleasing to the Lord.”
(Leviticus 6:20-21)

This was the offering Aaron and his sons brought to You, Jesus

on the day he was anointed.

You’ve anointed me, too, Father.

May I bring to You the finest.
Only the finest.

Pray this Lazaroo in utter adoration:

“What is mankind that you make so much of them, that you give them so much attention, that you examine them every morning and test them every moment? Will you never look away from me, or let me alone even for an instant? If I have sinned, what have I done to you, you who see everything we do?”
(Job 7:17-20)

It’s overwhelming, Jesus –

to realize You’re hearing my every thought

my every word

seeing everything I do.

Overwhelmingly wonderful!

Pray this Lazaroo with eyes of wisdom:

“…they cannot rest until they do evil; they are robbed of sleep till they make someone stumble. They eat the bread of wickedness and drink the wine of violence. The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.”
(Proverbs 4:16-18)

What a contrast, Jesus!

The life of the wicked

vs.

The life of the righteous.

I choose Your sun-drenched path, Father!

Lead me in every good and perfect way!

Pray this Lazaroo with sold-out surrender:

“The fire on the altar must be kept burning; it must not go out. Every morning the priest is to add firewood and arrange the burnt offering on the fire and burn the fat of the fellowship offerings on it. The fire must be kept burning on the altar continuously; it must not go out.”
(Leviticus 6:12-13)

Why was it so important to You that the fire didn’t go out, Jesus?

Was it because You want the fire You’ve lit in my heart

to keep burning ever hotter until You call me home?

Pray this Lazaroo with holy passion:

“The Lord said to Moses: ‘Give Aaron and his sons this command: “These are the regulations for the burnt offering: The burnt offering is to remain on the altar hearth throughout the night, till morning, and the fire must be kept burning on the altar.”’”
(Leviticus 6:8-9)

You’ve made it clear, Jesus:

Everything You did back then serves as an example for us.

O God!

Keep Your fire burning within me –
morning, noon and night!

Pray this Lazaroo in fervency of spirit:

“Blow the trumpet in Zion, declare a holy fast, call a sacred assembly. Gather the people, consecrate the assembly; bring together the elders, gather the children, those nursing at the breast. Let the bridegroom leave his room and the bride her chamber.”
(Joel 2:15-16)

Wow, Jesus.

Talk about an important gathering!

Most of all…

because it’s a meeting called by You.

May I never miss any meeting You all me to

or anything You call me to do

morning, noon or night.

Pray this Lazaroo with deep reverence:

“Early in the morning Joshua and all the Israelites set out…”
(Joshua 3:1)

That’s a good time to set out, isn’t it, Jesus?

An early start can lead to an earlier finish!

Of course, due to health issues, family dynamics or work schedule

not everyone can.

You know that and make it up to them.

However, there are those who can and should rise early

but are too lazy to do so.

May I never be counted in their number.
