Pray this Lazaroo with unshakable belief:

“The Merarites were appointed to take care of…all its equipment…”
(Numbers 3:36)

How would it feel to have that assignment, Jesus?

This was no piece of cake job.

The Israelites were homeless in the wilderness.

The moment You told them to move, they had to pack up.

When you told them to stop

it was time to set up all over again…
…and again…and again…

So I’m not surprised to find that my assignment

is no piece of cake either.

Pray this Lazaroo with keen anticipation:

“Then Solomon began to build the temple of the LORD…”
(2 Chronicles 3:1)

I can only imagine the joy of that moment, Jesus!

Solomon’s father David had longed for this privilege
but You would not allow him to build your temple.

Solomon knew You had saved this honor for him.

Based on the prayer he prayed at its completion
he was thrilled…and deeply humbled.

What have you saved for me to do, Father?

Please.

Pray this Lazaroo with thanksgiving:

“They agreed that we should go to the Gentiles, and they to the Jews.”
(Galatians 2:9)

How many times have I looked at the assignment You’ve given someone, Jesus

and thought, “I wish You had sent me there!”?

But how often have I looked at where You’ve sent someone else

and thought, “I’m so very glad that’s not me!”?

May I never second-guess Your calling, LORD!

You alone

know what You’ve put me on this earth to do.

Embrace your calling as you pray this Lazaroo:

“Aaron and his descendants were the ones who presented offerings on the altar of burnt offering…”
(1 Chronicles 6:49)

You’ve got an assignment for everyone, Jesus

but You have so much that needs to be done
so many lives to be touched

that we can’t all do the same job.

What a tragedy if I’m so envious of what someone else is doing

that I totally miss the indescribable joy
of doing what You’ve designed me to do.

Pray this Lazaroo with wholehearted adoration:

“Jesus sent him away…”
(Mark 1:43)

Sounds ominous, Jesus…

but this was no rejection.

You had just delivered this man from leprosy!

Now healed, You were sending Him away
with an assignment.

Like him, You’ve forgiven the leprosy of my sin!
Now healed, You’ve sent me away with an assignment:

Tell everyone about You.

But being sent away isn’t as lonely and traumatic as it sounds.

You’ve promised to go with me
while You send me away.
