Pray this Lazaroo with lavish love:

“Immediately Jesus knew in his spirit that this was what they were thinking in their hearts, and he said to them, ‘Why are you thinking these things?’”
(Mark 2:8)

I’ve wondered the same thing about my own thoughts, Jesus!

“Why am I thinking these things?”

I don’t ask that when my thoughts are pure

when I’m thinking about things that honor You.

I ask it when my thoughts are evil and disobedient to You.

Purify my thoughts, O God!

Pray this Lazaroo with sold-out surrender:

“…they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.”
(2 Peter 1:21)

Your prophets knew what that was like, Jesus

I’d like to know what that’s like, too.

I don’t want to be carried along by Satan

by the crowd

by my best friend

by my own thoughts.

Those carriers can’t get me very far –

not in the right direction, at least!

You’re the only one who can carry me safely

perfectly

in the right way

all the way home.
