Open your heart, as you pray this Lazaroo:

“This company of Israelite exiles…will possess the land as far as Zarephath…”
(Obadiah 1:20)

That’s pretty specific, Jesus.

I love it when You do that.
I kinda wish You’d do it more often. 😉

You were letting Your people know they could go this far…

…and no farther.

How far are You going to take me?

I know You know.

Is it best for me to know that, too?

If it is, You’ll tell me.

If it isn’t…

I guess I’ll find out.

Pray this Lazaroo in humble willingness:

“They also repaired…as far as the Dung Gate.”
(Nehemiah 3:13)

But that’s where they stopped, Jesus.

Can’t blame them a bit.

The gate through which the excrement of humans and animals was disposed of

was not an attractive place –
especially when the wind was blowing the wrong direction!

But oh, what an important service that gate performed –

along with those who transported
their odoriferous cargo through it!

Make me willing to do the necessary tasks

no one wants to do.
