If one person sins against another, God may mediate for the offender; but if anyone sins against the Lord, who will intercede for them?’ His sons, however, did not listen to their father’s rebuke, for it was the Lord’s will to put them to death.”
(1 Samuel 2:24-25)

Eli tried to correct his sons, Jesus…

but You knew their hearts were wicked to the core.
No amount of talk was going to deter them.

Pray this Lazaroo with bulldog faith:

“They all march in line…”
(Joel 2:7)

It’s bad enough when my enemies show up one at a time, Jesus.

But when a horde of them lines up against me?

Not good.

Of course, this was a plague of locusts sent by You

against Your chronically rebellious people.

So as long as I stay obedient to You

I won’t have to face that fearsome sight.

Or if I do, I can remain confident

knowing You will surely rescue me.
