Pray this Lazaroo with honest self-assessment:

“For though I am absent from you in body, I am present with you in spirit and delight to see how disciplined you are…”
(Colossians 2:5)

Would anyone who knows my life delight to see how disciplined I am, Jesus?

Thanks to You, I am disciplined!

…in some areas.

But to my shame, not in all.

My discipline in one part of my life

doesn’t excuse the lack of it in another, does it?

Help me, LORD Jesus!
Help me.

If only You could say that about me, Jesus!

Well…at least in some areas…You can.

But not in all.

There are seasons, days, moments
when I drop the ball.

That’s a euphemism I prefer

to confessing that I’ve inexcusably sinned.

I know no one is perfect.

I’m aware we all stumble in many ways.

But that doesn’t change the fact that in Your strength

I’ve got to give my all

because You deserve better.
