Pray this Lazaroo with unrestrained allegiance:

“In his anger against Israel the LORD gave them into the hands of raiders who plundered them.”
(Judges 2:14)

I don’t want that, Jesus.

It’s bad enough when You have to take me to the woodshed.

But I’d far rather be in Your hands
than in the clutches of others.

It’s not that Your punishment is weak.

It isn’t.

But as much as Your discipline hurts, it’s saturated with mercy

never even close to as much
as I deserve.
