Pray this Lazaroo with deep reverence:

“…every one of you put on his weapons, thinking it easy to go up into the hill country. But the Lord said to me, ‘Tell them, “Do not go up and fight, because I will not be with you. You will be defeated by your enemies.”’”
(Deuteronomy 1:41-42)

Oh, how important it is to check with You first, Jesus!

Haven’t I learned enough yet
about the sin of presumption?

Do I really need to keep going off half-cocked, totally oblivious?

Pray this Lazaroo with burning zeal:

“Men of Israel, listen to this:”
(Acts 2:22)

Because of what You had just done, Jesus

You had their attention.

So Peter proceeded to seize the moment and tell them about You.

Sounds like a plan!

But how often have I been totally oblivious?

How many times have I failed to recognize my opportunity?

O God!

Please help me recognize very time
You’ve grabbed their attention.

Then help me seize that priceless moment
to tell them about You.

Pray this Lazaroo…perceptively:

“The wise man has eyes in his head…”
(Ecclesiastes 2:14)

Doesn’t everybody, Jesus?

Apparently not.

It’s one thing to have the equipment

quite another to know how to use it.

How many times have I looked right at something

and had no idea what I was seeing?

But I wasn’t seeing, was I?

I was just a-lookin’
oblivious to what it meant.

God, please!

Grant me the wisdom to see where I’m looking
with these eyes in my head.
