Pray this Lazaroo in complete awe:

“Have we not all one Father?”
(Malachi 2:10)

Yes, Jesus.

You proclaimed it through Moses 3,400 years ago:

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.”

You reaffirmed it more than 1400 years later to a crowd of stunned Jews:

“I and the Father Are One.”

The Holy Spirit Who indwells every believer

is You

which explains Your enigmatic declaration in the very beginning:

“Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness…”

Allow yourself to marvel, as you pray this Lazaroo:

“…striving together as one for the faith of the gospel.”
(Philippians 1:27)

There’s nothing like it, Jesus –

a group of markedly different people

different ages, different sexes
different backgrounds, different personalities
different preferences, different schedules
different living circumstances

some single, some married, some divorced
some new believers, some long-time saints
some with means, some in dire financial straits
some battling illness, some healthy as a horse

all coming together in beautiful harmony with only one thing in common:

You.

Submit to God’s priorities as you pray this Lazaro:

“…you stand firm in one spirit…”
(Philippians 1:27)

Judging by the way Paul says this, Jesus

that’s the goal.

An entire church full of Christians standing firm in one spirit

is supposed to be the norm.

Is it?

In some churches at some times, yes.

But in all churches at all times?

I wish!
But no.

What destroys that beautiful state?

It’s each person demanding what they want, isn’t it?

Instead of selflessly submitting to one another
to give You what You want.
