Pray this Lazaroo with unrestrained allegiance:

“Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us.”
(1 Peter 2:12)

Pagans are going to accuse me of doing wrong, Jesus.

When I stand against sin and for righteousness
it will violate their heathen standards.

But because You’re the Creator of us all

some values remain constant for everyone.

Help me knock it out of the park with those!

Pray this Lazaroo with unrestrained allegiance:

“…receiving no help from the pagans.”
(3 John 1:7)

Is this a big ol’ surprise, Jesus?

No.
Hardly.

Pagans aren’t in the habit of helping me – or any of Your followers.

In fact, just the opposite.

They tend to get in our way

quite frequently opposing us.

So, receiving no help from the pagans

is no excuse for not being about Your business –

the business of sharing Your gospel with pagans

and being of eternal help to them.

Pray this Lazaroo with unshakable belief:

“Philip, like Andrew and Peter, was from the town of Bethsaida.”
(John 1:44)

The Jewish people living there witnessed Your amazing miracles, Jesus

but many refused to believe –
even though three of Your disciples were from there!

You told them if the pagans living in Tyre and Sidon had seen those same miracles

they would have repented and believed.

You don’t need to do anything more than You already have, Father

for me – with all my heart – to believe.
