In spite of Your sinless perfection, Jesus

if the suffering You endured was necessary for you to learn obedience

who am I to think I’m going to learn obedience

without suffering?

Pray this Lazaroo in heart-pounding love:

The whole time You were here, Jesus

You knew why You’d come.

Even so, You begged to be delivered from death.

As He sometimes says to me
Your Father said, “no.”

But to our resurrection from the dead

He says, “Yes!”
