(Genesis 3:23-24)

What a heartbreak, Jesus!

We’ve been mourning that loss ever since.

But in heaven –

for those of us who’ve placed our trust in You –

that longing will be fulfilled!

When You’re the one who opens the door, Jesus

no one can shut it in my face.

Even when my strength wanes

may I always keep Your Word
and glorify Your Name.

Just like then, Jesus

have no room for You in their hearts.

Pray this Lazaroo with total transparency:

It doesn’t sound like we’re getting back in there, Jesus.

Certainly not here on this earth.

But there’s a better place than the Garden of Eden, isn’t there?

Heaven!

And for all who put their faith and trust in You

Angels won’t keep us out.
They’ll usher us in.

You’re the one who made the king promote Daniel, Jesus.

Then You laid it on Daniel’s heart
to take his fellow Jews along for the ride.

Take me wherever You desire, LORD!

even if You have to move heaven and earth to do it.
