Pray this Lazaroo with growing anticipation:

“He will judge between many peoples and will settle disputes for strong nations far and wide. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore.”
(Micah 4:3)

What a promise, Jesus!

Certain, in the last days to come true.

Oh, not because there’s even a hint now that such a thing can happen

but because when You declare it
it’s as good as done.

Pray this Lazaroo with deep reverence:

“Nation will not take up sword against nation…”
(Isaiah 2:4)

We all long for that day, Jesus!

Well…those of us who love peace.

This is Your promise:

That day will come.

Millions are working and praying for it.

But it won’t be ours until the Last Day.
Nor will we bring it about.

You will.

Until then, thank You for the men, women, leaders and nations willing to take up swords

so the rest of us don’t have to.

Pray this Lazaroo in wise anticipation:

“They will beat their swords into plowshares…”
(Isaiah 2:4)

That’s a wonderful thing to do with a sword, Jesus –

reshape it into a tool that digs in the ground
rather than into a human being

turn a megaton bomb into a megawatt power station
retool a lethal dagger into a life-saving scalpel.

Sounds good.

We need to keep working on that.

But until evil is eliminated from the earth
good people need to keep a few swords handy

just in case.
