Pray this Lazaroo with sold-out surrender:

“Better a poor but wise youth than an old but foolish king who no longer knows how to heed a warning. The youth may have come from prison to the kingship, or he may have been born in poverty within his kingdom. I saw that all who lived and walked under the sun followed the youth, the king’s successor.”
(Ecclesiastes 4:13-15)

What a tragedy, Jesus

that Solomon didn’t apply his own proverb to himself.

Please.

Help me practice what I preach!

Pray this Lazaroo with total transparency:

“…teach what is good.”
(Titus 2:3)

Sounds simple, Jesus.

I should teach good things.

The implication is there, too:

I shouldn’t teach bad things.

Okay, I won’t.

Except…teaching isn’t only talking, is it?

I wonder how effective are the things I say
compared to the things I do?

It’s likely that my example matters more, isn’t it?

It’s old advice, but it’s a fact:

The best way to drive home what I say
is to practice what I preach.
