Pray this Lazaroo with God-given discernment:

“Moses was…testifying to what would be said in the future.”
(Hebrews 3:5)

Moses couldn’t have done that with any accuracy whatsoever, Jesus

unless You had revealed the future to him.

You alone know the future. Apart from You –

If anyone claims to be able to foretell what will happen

they’re guessing.

That goes for mediums, spiritists, false prophets, soothsayers

talk show hosts, politicians, pundits, authors
and highly-educated experts.

‘Cause a well-informed, thoughtful
carefully-researched educated guess

is still a guess.

Pray this Lazaroo with bottomless trust:

“…the little ones you said would be taken captive…”
(Deuteronomy 1:39)

The Israelites in the desert missed that prediction, Jesus.

They looked at their circumstances
concluding they knew where their steps were taking them.

But they were 100% wrong.

I’m ashamed to admit I can identify.

When will I stop looking behind me and around me
to guess the future?

The only direction I need to look is up –

straight to You –

the One who determines my every step.

Hold nothing back, as you pray this Lazaroo:

“Do not prophesy about these things…”
(Micah 2:6)

Most people are eager to hear a prophecy, Jesus

if they believe it’s true
if the prophecy predicts punishment for their enemies
and/or a happy future for them.

Obviously, that’s not the kind of prophecy You entrusted to Your prophet Micah.

Of course, there are false prophets
who prophesy only what their audience wants to hear.

But among Your true followers

those who prophesy such lies
have a limited shelf life.
