Pray this Lazaroo in heartfelt gratitude:

“So then, brothers and sisters, stand firm and hold fast to the teachings we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter.”
(2 Thessalonians 2:15)

It didn’t make any difference, Jesus –

whether it was something Paul wrote
or what they heard him say.

Their job was to stand firm and hold fast!

I didn’t get to hear what Paul said.

But I’m pretty sure it sounded a whole lot like what he wrote. 😉

(2 Peter 2:4)

Instructive, Jesus.

Obviously, You’re telling me this for a reason.

It’s not just to inform me of an historical event, is it?

You want me to take note…
and apply the lesson.

I’m pretty sure this is it:

There’s a hell reserved for those who listen to Satan
and reject You.

Message received and recorded.
Lesson absorbed.

Pray this Lazaroo from the depths of your heart:

“Seek righteousness…”
(Zephaniah 2:3)

I have to seek it, Jesus

because I don’t have it.

Not fully.

Oh, I have my moments when I’ve done well.

At those times, I’m pretty sure You’re pleased.

Although if I did the right thing for wrong motives –
that may lessen the pleasure You feel.

But it’s those other times when I do what I know I shouldn’t

that scare me

as well they should.

Clearly, I need to seek righteousness a little harder.
