Pray this Lazaroo with anticipation:

“The vision of Obadiah.”
(Obadiah 1:1)

And so begins the shortest book of the Old Testament, Jesus.

From scant clues within its 21 verses
we surmise Obadiah may have been
the first of the writing prophets.

Obadiah is a popular Bible name, given to 12 different men.

However, we don’t know for sure that he was any of them.

But these words aren’t from him, are they?

They are a direct, powerful, blistering message of warning

through him
from You.

Pray this Lazaroo from the depths of your soul:

“We who are Jews by birth…”
(Galatians 2:15)

Paul had that honored standing, Jesus.

But those who don’t have hope!

You’ve offered all who are not Jews by birth

the opportunity to become Jews

by rebirth.

In fact, every Jew by birth who desires to make heaven his home

has to become one by rebirth!

That’s hard for a natural-born Jew to accept, Jesus –

until she gratefully acknowledges You as her promised Messiah
in prophetic fulfillment of her Jewish heritage.

Pray this Lazaroo in growing awe:

“‘Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?’ Nathanael asked.”
(John 1:46)

People didn’t think much of Your hometown, did they, Jesus?

It was small – maybe 120-150 people.
Almost everyone in the village was related, from the tribe of Judah.

They were probably trying to hide their royal lineage from King Herod

since he was paranoid about his questionable right to the throne.

But Isaiah prophesied that the Messiah would come from there

600 years before Nazareth even existed.

Watch! as you pray this Lazaroo:

“I will show…signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billows of smoke.”
(Acts 2:19)

When I read this prophetic passage, Jesus

it’s hard to ignore the volcanic activity happening
as we speak.

But even though much attention is being paid to these volcanoes –

especially because of social media and their location –
there’s no current increase of volcanic eruptions worldwide.

Which leads me to wonder –

what mammoth displays of Your power are awaiting us
right around the corner?
