“I always thank my God as I remember you in my prayers, because I hear about your love…”

When I pray for people

there are a lot of things I can thank You for, Jesus.

I could thank You for protecting them.
I could thank You for healing them.
I could thank You for their good deeds.
I could even thank You for their faith.

But Paul was thankful for their love

because the greatest of all

is love.

Pray this Lazaroo with faith in the God who can:

“Hold on to instruction, do not let it go; guard it well, for it is your life. Do not set foot on the path of the wicked or walk in the way of evildoers. Avoid it, do not travel on it; turn from it and go on your way.”
(Proverbs 4:13-15)

As instructions go, Jesus

this is one of the best:

protecting me from horrific consequences
on earth…and eternally.

Help me hold on to this instruction and never let it go!

Why do we find it so hard, Jesus

to give up the things that break Your heart?

You’re not trying to cheat us out of having a good time!

You’re protecting us from the thoughts, words and behaviors
that will destroy our lives.

Forgive me, LORD

for being so slow to give up
what will take me down.
