Pray this Lazaroo with responsive faith:

“We have heard a message from the Lord: An envoy was sent to the nations to say, ‘Rise…’”
(Obadiah 1:1)

No more sitting down, Jesus!

Sure, there’s a time to kick back and relax

But there comes a day when that time ends

when it’s time to get back to work.

Not my work.
Yours.

Which time am I in, Holy Spirit?

Show me!

I don’t want to be standing when You’ve told me to sit
nor sitting when You’ve told me to “Rise!”

Pray this Lazaroo with unrestrained allegiance:

“Watch out…”
(2 John 1:8)

Warnings like these don’t exactly relax me, Jesus.

I wish I didn’t have to watch out.
I wish You’d do all my watching out for me.

And You would
if that’s what was best.

Actually, I know You do watch out for me, 24/7.

Only in heaven will I discover
what all You’ve protected me from.

But clearly, there’s real benefit in me keeping my eyes peeled, too.

So since You want me to
I will.

Pray this Lazaroo in healing trust:

“You suffered from your own countrymen…”
(1 Thessalonians 2:14)

That’s the worst, Jesus!

Not attack from a stranger
betrayal from someone I thought was a friend.

I guess I’m kind of slow on the draw.

I never see it coming.

Maybe that’s because of how good You Are to me!

I know as I walk in deep, daily, moment-by-moment
1on1 relationship with You

You’ve got my back.

That frees me to relax!

trusting not in them
but in You.
