“Beyond them, Benjamin and Hasshub made repairs in front of their house; and next to them, Azariah son of Maaseiah, the son of Ananiah, made repairs beside his house. Next to him, Binnui son of Henadad repaired another section, from Azariah’s house to the angle and the corner…”
(Nehemiah 3:23-24)

Some people only take care of themselves, Jesus

but a precious few also take care of others.

Pray this Lazaroo with excuseless humility:

“Next to him, Meremoth son of Uriah, the son of Hakkoz, repaired another section, from the entrance of Eliashib’s house to the end of it. The repairs next to him were made by the priests from the surrounding region.”
(Nehemiah 3:21-22)

That was so kind of Meremoth, Jesus –

repairing a section of the wall in front of someone else’s house
the priests from the surrounding regions doing the same.

O God!

Please help me set aside self-care
long enough to care for others.

“Next to him Ezer the son of Jeshua, the official of Mizpah, repaired another section in front of the ascent of the armory at the Angle. After him Baruch the son of Zabbai zealously repaired another section, from the Angle to the doorway of the house of Eliashib the high priest.”
(Nehemiah 3:19-20)

This was a crucial section of the wall, Jesus –

near the armory and home of the high priest.

May I be as zealous as Baruch

in repairing brokenness in Your Church!
