Cry out to God for help as you pray this Lazaroo:

“…my heart is faint.”
(Lamentations 1:22)

That was true of Jeremiah then, Jesus

and sometimes it’s true of me –
but not always for the same reason!

It could be because I’m missing my 1on1 time with You

because I’ve deliberately sinned against You
because I’m hurting for someone I love
because I’m distressed about my country
because I’m under Satan’s attack
because of terrible hurt or loss in my own life.

O God, You! You alone!

can restore me.

Be filled with hope as you pray this Lazaroo:

“I hope to be restored…”
(Philemon 1:22)

Paul was talking about being restored to the church that met in his friends’ home, Jesus.

But those first five words can be prayed by all of us

including me.

You made it clear that following You is not only a joy…

but also requires me to bear a cross – of one kind or another.

Cross-bearing has to be done…but tears me down, Father.

In Your way and time:

Restore me!

Cling to the promise of God, as you pray this Lazaroo:

“The LORD will restore the splendor of Jacob…though destroyers…have ruined their vines.”
(Nahum 2:3)

It takes years for a grapevine to mature to the point where it produces truly great grapes, Jesus.

The grape grower invests hours in pruning and training the vine
so it pours all its lifeforce into creating great-tasting grapes
rather than growing big and bushy with stems and leaves.

O God!

Is that what You’re doing with me?

Please.
Whatever it takes.
Restore my splendor.
